My journey to becoming a coach
I am a chartered surveyor and head of department for an emergency service. So why did I start a masters in coaching?
I have set up my coaching practice to offer personal, affordable coaching, providing the kind of support I wished I’d had while navigating career, parenting, and life in North London.
There is a teaching that like feathers scattered to the wind, words and impressions cannot be collected back up and erased. I've noticed how true this is in the workplace, which inspired me to volunteer as an internal coach, helping others make more thoughtful choices and actions in their careers.
What sets me apart is my unique blend of philosophy, coaching tools, and a grounded, practical focus. I start by helping clients notice the details of their experiences, instead of relying on standardised training and toolkits. Through practical exercises and thoughtful questioning, I work with my clients to help them achieve their goals.
The impact of the coaching I had inspired me to pursue a master's degree to study the practice further. I realised that coaching offers valuable support for adults who need guidance beyond what friends can provide, but don't require therapy.
